In September 2022 Vagabond Voices in Glasgow published my first novel, Giselle and Mr Memphis. I was 67 at the time of publication.  The novel was gradually developed whilst attending Ray Ross’s Find Your Voice Class in Edinburgh. Time spent taking an MA in Screenwriting at Screen Academy Scotland helped me to hone down the novel and pay particular attention to scenes and story.

Since the excitement of publication I have been working on a new novel – Billy Tuesday and short stories, journals and screenplays.

At the moment Billy Tuesday is a mixture of journaling from 2017 onwards and on the process of dealing with trauma through memoir and creative invention. It is a long project and I intersperse writing activity with painting. Painting and mark making is also a central theme of the novel. Please seem my website for further info and the occasional blog.

I am keen and available to work on collaborative projects in writing, film and the arts. Please see my website for further details about my work.
