I’m a writer, researcher and lecturer living in beautiful Cornwall with my husband, three cats and Border Collie. My interests include dystopian literature, queer studies, children’s fiction and initial teacher education. My poetry, short fiction and academic articles have appeared in a wide range of print and electronic media, and fiction titles I have recently worked on as commissioning editor have won regional readers’ and publishers’ awards. My debut novel, ‘Sisters of the Pentacle’, was published by Hermitage Press (2022) and my first non-fiction title, ‘Cornwall Uncharted: Mapping Cornwall’s Queer History of Concealment, Culture and Creativity’, was recently published by The History Press (2026). I’m currently drafting Books 2 and 3 of The Broken Pentacle Series (Blue Poppy Publishing) whilst editing a collection of ghost stories and a full-length dystopian novel (adapted from my PhD thesis).
