Local Groups: The SoA – Campaigning for your rights in the era of AI

All local groups are welcome to join the West Midlands Group online on Friday 24 October from 10am to hear from Head of Policy and Public Affairs Lindsay Bennett Ford about how the SoA is helping to protect authors’ work and careers from AI in 2025 and beyond.

In this meeting we will cover:

• What the SoA has done to protect authors’ work in 2025
• What we have lined up for 2026

We will also leave time for a Q&A at the end. If you would like to send questions in advance, email Local Groups at localgroups@societyofauthors.org with ‘Your Work & AI’ in the subject header. We will prioritise questions sent in advance but will endeavour to answer as many as we can from the audience on the day.

This session is being hosted by the West Midlands Group and will take place on Zoom. Don’t worry if you haven’t been to a meet-up before – all members welcome.
