In 2025 I won the Hachette Children’s Novel Award for my Middle Grade novel, The Dinosaur Next Door, which I’ll be working on in the next year in the hope of seeing it through to publication, whilst juggling my PR and marketing job.

I am also a Writers Block NE, 2024-2025, mentee and have spent the last year working with them on my Young Teen novel, How to Murder a Ghost.

I have has also dabbled in playwriting – as a member of New Writing North’s Significant Inks – and may return that some day, time permitting.

For now, my only ambition is to sit down at least once a day and write at least one paragraph, though 1,000 words would be nice.
