I write fiction, essays and commercial copy, and the through-line is that I cannot leave anything alone until I have understood how it actually works.

Under a pen name, I am writing a four-volume serialised fiction project exploring identity, intimacy, and early adulthood. Two volumes are published, the third is currently releasing chapter by chapter, and the fourth is fully scripted. It is the longest project I have ever committed to, and it still brings a healthy dose of fear every time I hit publish.

On Medium, I write essays about geopolitics, economics, and the intersections where emerging technology changes how we live. To ground this, I am voluntarily partway through a 15-month graded HarvardX programme in Chinese history, while learning Mandarin on the side, which mostly means I now own far more flashcards than furniture.

The commercial side of my work runs through Copperwords®, an SEO copywriting and AI search consultancy specialising in high-stakes sectors: private healthcare, financial services, and values-led organisations in heritage and conservation. Clients include Summerhill Health, Brooks Macdonald, and Tommee Tippee. Since 2025, I have backed this work with university-accredited training in AI law and ethics through Helsinki and Lund Universities. I thrive on complex briefs where absolute data accuracy is paramount, but the prose must still carry a distinct human rhythm.
