Hampshire Group: Settings and Storytelling

27 May @ 19:30 - 21:00 BST

Free

Join the Hampshire Group on Tuesday 27 May at 7.30pm to discuss the role of setting in storytelling.

Setting is a dynamic element of storytelling. Not only does it set context and inform character, plot and theme, but it has the power to express mood, evoke memories and transport readers to years gone by or to worlds that don’t yet exist. Please come to the next meeting of the Hampshire Group with a one page or less excerpt of your own writing, or that of a writer you admire, that celebrates setting.

We’ll meet at the Hyde Tavern, 57 Hyde Street, Winchester, SO23 7DY. The closest place to park is the Cattle Market lot, which is free after 6pm.

All members welcome!
