Roy Francis, with a distinguished career in education, music and the media, is an award-winning television producer, author, and music industry expert. He is a former producer of BBC’s ‘Songs of Praise’ and won the prestigious CBC Gold Award for his program on the American evangelist Billy Graham.
In the 1980s, Roy produced “People Get Ready,” a ground-breaking gospel music series that aired on Channel 4 in the UK. He later founded a successful production company that staged and promoted many of the biggest names in American and British gospel music, as well as supporting numerous new artists in both countries.
In the 1990s, he staged and filmed the highly successful “Donnie McClurkin Live in London” recording and DVD. His company also played a key role in marketing and promoting the Walden Media film Amazing Grace to the UK Christian community.
Beyond music and television, Roy has collaborated with Soul Marketing and Black Entertainment Television to produce the Getting to Know celebrity event series, featuring Wendy Williams, hip-hop artist Trey Songz, and actress Tracee Ellis Ross.
