I have been translating since 2007. After working in-house for a few years, I began freelancing in 2012 and then moved into literary translation.
I won the inaugural Nonfiction Translation Competition in January 2015 (run by the German Book Office New York and Geisteswissenschaften International). The first book I translated, Crossing the Sea by Wolfgang Bauer, was published in 2016. I have since translated an academic book for Cornell University Press and several non-fiction works for Greystone Books, most focusing on climate change and the environment.
I have translated samples from a variety of genres, including popular fiction, crime fiction and YA fantasy. I am keen to move into translating crime fiction – my favourite genre – as well as continuing to translate non-fiction. I am also available for reader reports.
