With a background in research, investigation and intelligence analysis, I have lived, worked and played in various countries, picking up six diverse languages in the process. Each novel in my current standalone series of crime/espionage fiction, featuring  MI5’s Counter-espionage team, made Amazon’s Top Five best seller list and the Top 100 kindles, with two of the books – ‘Shearwater Point’ and ‘The Kohat Connection’ being Amazon No 1 best sellers. 

The first of my true crime books, ‘The Forgotten Forty-Four: Victims & Survivors of America’s First Serial Sex Killer’ was shortlisted in the 2024 True Crime Awards and was runner up in the category ‘True Crime Book of the Year’, being awarded a ‘Highly Commended’. ‘The Wronged Man: A Tragic Miscarriage of Justice’ was shortlisted in the 2025 True Crime Awards, and ‘The Second Man: An Expedient Execution’ has been submitted for the 2026 awards. 

The latest titles in my cosy crime series, ‘Misbourne Murder Mysteries’, are ‘Who Killed Emerald Isacson?’ and ‘Murder at the Festival’.   Writing also as DJ Kelly, I have published a series of local history books.
