Lauren Jane Barnett is a multi-award-winning horror screenwriter and author known for her work on the history of horror films and female-driven psychological horror stories.  She is probably best known for being on the blu-ray commentary for several of Hammer Film’s recent releases, including the upcoming X-The Unknown collectors edition.

She wrote the first walking guide to London horror movies, Death Lines: Walking London’s Horror History, which Kim Newman dubbed “The A to Z horror fans need”, and her sci-fi novella, Occam’s Dream, is often compared to an episode of Black Mirror.  Her latest work, Natural Thorn Killers: A Creeping Guide to Plant Horror is already makign waves for it’s unique focus on the eco-horror subgenre.

Film work includes the multi-award-winning shorts”Darner” and “Robot Armadillo”, feature Video Shop Tales of Terror II, and upcoming works like Cosis and The Witches of the Sands. She also co-hosts the London Horror Movie Club Podcast.
