I am a freelance writer based in Oxford, England, currently at work on my first novel. I am also a short story writer, having published stories in Joyland, Wasafiri, The London Magazine and The Kenyon Review. As a journalist, I’ve worked with Reuters in Brazil, and as a non-fiction writer I’ve placed personal essays and journalistic articles in The New York Times, The Nation, TIME, Atlas Obscura, among other places. My works often revolve around the themes of migration, language, faith, and belonging, and I like to mix non-English languages (namely Portuguese, Korean, Spanish) into my work.
Over the past three years, I’ve worked as an editor at The Oxonian Review. I am currently a contributing editor focused mainly on curating a column dedicated to Hong Kong writing, which you can find here.
