I am passionate about our living planet and the world future generations will inherit, so I write a good deal about nature and climate change.
My speculative novella Aerth was joint winner of the Weatherglass Inaugural Novella Prize, judged by Ali Smith, published in January 2025 (Weatherglass Books).
My literary novel The Wilder Path was winner of the Virginia Prize for Fiction 2024 and published in June 2025 (Aurora Metro Books).
I also write short fiction – sometimes very short! (as in flash fiction). A number of these have been published both in print and online by independent publishers. To my great joy one of them was also nominated for Best Short Fictions in 2022 – a wry look at the relationship between a homeless person and the local foxes. I occasionally write articles too.
I set up the Bristol Climate Writers network in 2017.
I really enjoy participating in literary events, festivals, and workshops. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.
I am represented by Sara Langham of David Higham Associates.
