I’ve been a proud member of the Society of Authors since 2012. I am an author and illustrator living in the Cotswolds. As a writer I specialise in YA, teen, children’s, short stories & adult fiction, particularly genre fiction (epic fantasy and sci-fi). As a freelance illustrator I have worked with HarperCollins, Penguin Random House and numerous other publishing houses, selling my work around the world. I am a trained fine artist and have been an Artist-in-Residence for Oxford University, producing all the artwork (50 images) for a new cerebral card game, Mycelium. I was a short listed finalist in the 2018 & 2019 British Fantasy Awards for Best Artist and do private commission work as well as commercial projects. My style is very detailed, particularly hand drawn pen & ink drawings, in addition to oil landscapes and portraiture. I am also known for my professional hand drawn pen & ink maps and have produced these for a number of fantasy trilogies and most recently for the acclaimed non-fiction natural history book, Orchard: A Year in England’s Eden published by HarperCollins.
