Vicky Foster is a poet and pub singer from Hull. Her poetry collection, Changing Tides, is published by King’s England Press. She is the host of Women of Words, which is an event for female performers of poetry, prose, drama, and song.

David Morley – Chair of SoA’s Scriptwriters Group, radio producer, dramatist and author

David’s plays for BBC radio include The Two Brexiteers, Heading To Paradise, The Iraq Dossier and The Death of Tom Inglis.  As a producer, his dramas include Far Side of the Moore, The McKinnon Extradition, A Patriot For Me and Ebola. His numerous documentaries for BBC Radio include Lemn Sissay on The Last Poets, Oona King on her family’s part in the Civil Rights struggle, and Michael Apted on the banning of The War Game.

Ian Martin – Winner of the 2020 Tinniswood Award for The Hartlepool Spy

Comedy writer Ian Martin was a writer for the BAFTA-winning political satire The Thick of It, starting a long-running association with producer Armando Iannucci, which continued with the Oscar-nominated In The Loop. Martin was a writer-producer on HBO’s VEEP (for which he won two WGA Awards and an Emmy) and a co-writer for the BAFTA-nominated feature The Death Of Stalin. He is a writer and supervising producer for the forthcoming HBO space comedy Avenue 5. Martin is the author of several books including Epic Space and The Coalition Chronicles, and has written for the Architects’ Journal, the Guardian and the New Statesman.

Rhiannon Tise – 2020 Tinniswood Award judge, radio, theatre and television writer

Rhiannon Tise writes for radio, theatre and television. She won the Imison Award for her play The Waltzer and has since written numerous original dramas and adaptations for radio; including Little Women in 2017 for BBC RADIO 4. Her adaptation for R4 of  The Mill on the Floss will be broadcast in April 2020. She is a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at the University of Kent.
