Having trained as an administrator, Frances Kay, worked in politics, diplomatic service and law before becoming a consultant, helping professional individuals and organisations with aspects of business development and relationship building. For a number of years, she wrote business books and articles, editing, research and giving talks and workshops on her book topics. She has 35 published titles, including Successful Networking, Understanding NLP and Understanding Emotional Intelligence, all published by Kogan Page.
Frances edited The Good Retirement Guide for Kogan Page, Europe’s leading independent business books publisher, for ten years. This Guide, published annually, covers retirement topics, from managing money, health, property, making the most of your leisure to starting and running your own business.
Frances became a full-time carer for her husband, when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, for twelve years until his death in 2018. Now aged 70, and fully retired, Frances enjoys spending time with her children and young grandchildren.
