The Society of Authors has joined the Authors Guild – the SoA’s sister union in the US – in calling for Internet Archive’s so-called ‘National Emergency Library’ to be taken offline.

Following her intervention last month, in which she labelled the move by San Francisco-based Internet Archive ‘disgraceful and unlawful’, SoA Chief Executive Nicola Solomon added her name to the Authors Guild’s petition calling for the ‘library’ to be shut with immediate effect.

You can review and add your name to the strongly-worded petition by clicking here. If your work has been unlawfully copied and added to the National Emergency Library, our article here discusses what to do.
