Policy and Public Affairs Manager – Scotland

Pauline Vickers joined the organisation in June 2026. Pauline has a breadth of experience as a regional political organiser, A level Lecturer in History and Politics and from Local Government, managing teams in economic development in Wales and the library service in Scotland. She has also led charitable organisations focusing on community development, training for volunteers, funding, governance and capacity building.

Pauline advocates for members in Scotland and supports the Society of Authors in Scotland Committee to ensure members’ interests are represented within the Scottish Government, local government and across the industry.

Lindsay Ford joined the organisation in September 2025. She leads on parliamentary and government engagement.  

Lindsay previously held policy, public affairs, and communications roles across the third sector and creative industries.

Ambre joined the SoA in October 2021. She advises members on publishing contracts and issues. She also works on the SoA’s public policy.

Ambre is joint group coordinator for the Translators Association.
