Deborah Carr lives on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. She is currently unrepresented.

She is the USA TODAY best-selling author of The Poppy Field and her historical fiction, including her Mrs Boots series is published by HarperCollins’ One More Chapter division. She has written two psychological thrillers for Hera Books as Ella Drummond, and writes contemporary romance series as Georgina Troy.

Deborah was described as 'One to Watch' by Good Housekeeping magazine when her debut WW1 historical romance, Broken Faces, was runner-up in the 2012 Good Housekeeping Novel Writing Competition. The book also received a 'special commendation' in the Harry Bowling Prize that year.

Writing as Georgina Troy, she was a finalist in the Contemporary Romance Category of the Romantic Novel of the Year Awards 2016 (RoNAs) and The Joan Hessayon Award for new writers 2015 with A Jersey Kiss, Book 1 in her Jersey Scene series. 

Deborah is a Co-Founder of the multi-award-winning tech start-up - the first virtual literary festival venue platform developed to connect readers with authors. She is one third of The Blonde Plotters writing group and was Deputy Editor on the online review site, Novelicious for seven years.
