Medieval- and Christian-inspired YA fantasy fiction Language and place: French and Italian literary translation

My intellectual and professional background is in the academic humanities (especially medieval, French and Italian studies) and Christian (especially Carmelite and other contemplative) spirituality. I write YA fantasy literature: I've had five short stories published or accepted and am currently working on an agented novel quartet. I'm the author of six works of non-fiction: Last Thing at Night: Prayers and readings for the end of the day (Darton Longman and Todd, 2011), Constantinople and the West in Medieval French Literature: Renewal and utopia (D. S. Brewer, 2012) and four books in the A Month with series of spiritual anthologies (SPCK, 2018). I also write book reviews, have translated a number of books from French and am working on a translation of an Italian novel.
