DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Spring Members’ Lunch event held at our London offices on Bedford Row. Meet and mingle with SoA staff and fellow members\, and hear a few words from SoA Fellow\, Roger McGough. \nRoger will have a collection of his books available to buy during the event (cash only)\, with the option to have these signed with purchase. \nThe books that will be available are: \n\n8 copies of The Collected Poems: 1959-2024 at £25 each\nAn assortment of Children’s and Paperback books at £10 each\n\nPlaces are limited and subject to availability. Please note that there will be limited seating at this event.  \n  \nSoA in Person: Member Lunches events – £9.50 for SoA Members \nAll SoA in-person social events\, Lates\, Coffee and Chat and member lunch events are £9.50 for SoA members. He will share tips about his journey so far.\n\n\n1.25pm – Mingling and networking\n\n\n2pm – Event finishes\n\n  \nThe Line up\nRoger McGough\nRoger McGough\, CBE\, FRSL is a poet\, broadcaster\, children’s author and playwright\, winning critical acclaim for his 1967 anthology The Mersey Sound. He has won the SoA’s Cholmondeley Award and was appointed OBE in 1997 and CBE in 2004. He presents BBC Radio 4’s Poetry Please. He is a Fellow of the RSL and President of the Poetry Society.
