She is the owner of Script Haven bookshop in Worcester\, which is a bookshop\, a cafe\, and an event hub all in one place. Script Haven predominantly supports indie authors and publishers\, and it is also a finalist for the Independent Bookshop of the Year 2026 Midlands. \nLeena is coming ready to answer our questions about how we can get our books from the shelf to sale. Everything\, including what most annoys booksellers about authors? Should we judge a book by its publisher? SUMMARY:Self-Publishers Network: How do you publish?
DESCRIPTION:Join the Self-Publishers Network on Monday 1 June from 2pm for a member-led discussion on how we publish our work. We will consider questions such as: What services work for you and why? Do you have any platforms or formats you prefer? \nWe will go into small groups using breakout rooms on Zoom for you to meet fellow members\, chat and share advice. We’ll run two rounds of rooms for around 20 minutes each so you can meet a variety of authors\, then at the end we will feed back to the main group. \nMeeting structure \n\n10 minutes – Welcome and housekeeping\, answering any initial questions\n20 minutes – Breakout room to chat with members in smaller groups\n10 minutes – Catch up and remix the rooms\n20 minutes – Breakout room to chat with members in smaller groups\n30 minutes – Feed back to the main group\, closing discussion\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there! \nAbout the Self-Publishers Network\nThe Self-Publishers Network is a member-led network connecting self-published authors to share experiences\, recommendations and advice.
