DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next online meet-up on Thursday 25 June from 2pm.  \nChar McCallum from The Tandem Collective is joining ADCI to talk about the work The Tandem Collective does in creating events and campaigns to build buzz and reader interaction for book launches\, amongst other things. Char will help shine a light on what goes into a successful online launch or event\, with tips on what authors can do to help raise the profile of their books before\, during and after publication.  \nADCI has been working to help the publishing industry appreciate the opportunities and untapped market of people who can’t or don’t get to in person events as it’s an area we understand better than most. This session will delve into more ways to reach readers like us.  \nThe Tandem Collective is a team of passionate freelancers\, with a range of skills spanning social media\, events\, project management\, video\, podcast\, web and graphic design. \nOur formula \nWe partner with content creators to generate a digital activation with high levels of engagement and authenticity. We work with a roster of trusted influencers and brand partners to create stand-out campaigns across a number of platforms\, from Instagram to TikTok. \nOur formats \nWe specialise in real-time digital activations with online influencers and brand partners to generate word-of-mouth for new releases\, from books to film and TV.  \n \nChar McCallum is the Community and Events Manager at The Tandem Collective\, a team of passionate freelancers\, with a range of skills spanning social media\, events\, project management\, video\, podcast\, web and graphic design. Char has over 10 years of events experience from busy event venues to weddings and now online Zoom and Instagram events. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next online meet-up on Thursday 27 August from 2pm. \nIn August\, author Angela Clarke is joining us to talk about her experiences as a disabled author and screenwriter. She will share how she navigates the industry\, requests access requirements and negotiates deadlines while living with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome III. \nAngela is a best-selling novelist and screenwriter. She’s delighted her latest psych thriller The Anniversary Party (Hachette\, 2025) is an Amazon number one bestseller in Serial Killers\, and plans to get that ranking printed on a t-shirt. She is the author of On My Life (Hachette\, 2019)\, the Social Media Murders Series including Trust Me (HarperCollins\, 2017)\, Watch Me (HarperCollins\, 2016)\, and Follow Me (HarperCollins\, 2015). She also wrote the humorous memoir Confessions of a Fashionista (Penguin Random House\, 2013). Follow Me was named Amazon’s Rising Star Debut January 2016\, longlisted for the Crime Writer’s Association Dagger in the Library 2016\, and shortlisted for the Dead Good Page Turner Award 2016. For screen Angela has written on childrens’\, crime and drama developments and shows for AMC\, Netflix\, BBC\, Channel 4\, CBeebies and BBC Sounds. Two of her novels have been optioned for television adaptation.  A sufferer of the rare genetic condition Ehlers Danlos Syndrome III\, Angela is passionate about bringing disabled talent and stories into the industry.
