Who is this session for?
This session is for emerging writers, those with a work in progress, and attendees of the previous ‘Crafting Complex Characters’ and ‘Writing Real Relationships’ sessions.
What will this session cover?
In this session, participants will:
- Learn how to use dialogue to fuel miscommunication and complexity between characters
- Experiment with internal honesty and external dishonest dialogue
- Explore which level of dialogue is right for characters

Maame Blue
Maame Blue is a creative writing tutor and author of the novel Bad Love, which won the 2021 Betty Trask Award. Her short stories have been published in three anthologies and her writing has appeared in Writers Mosaic, Refinery29 and The Author. Her second novel is forthcoming in Autumn 2024.
