Anju Okhandiar was born in India, educated in Europe, and has lived in the United Kingdom since, 1980. She has been living and working in Scotland since, 2004.

She is a professional translator and translates from and into Hindi, English and German.

She is also a creative writer with special interest in poetry, short story and travel writing.
