An Hour (and a half) of Power
Talent is only a part of being a successful writer – equally important is how you deal with issues such as handling deadlines, dealing with distractions, self-sabotage, doubt and anxiety – the "Mental Game" of writing.
Charles Harris will lead a workshop on core techniques which will help focus your work, make the best use of your time, set and achieve goals, and fall in love with those bits of the job writers dread - such as approaching agents and publishers.
Charles Harris is an award-nominated novelist and award-winning writer-director for cinema and TV. He has worked in just about every area of the industry including BBC, Channel 4 and cinema - drama and documentary. He co-founded the first screenwriting workshop in the world, now called Euroscript, and has run highly popular workshops for university MA courses, film-schools and international festivals. He is also an accredited master practitioner of NLP and Eriksonian hypnosis.
Join us at The Lord Palmerston pub in the Lords Room upstairs from 6.30pm for a chat over drinks before the discussion begins at 7pm, followed by a Q&A.
Please let organiser Sam Collett know if you can make it and send her a photo and short 50 word bio about yourself if you're happy to share with the group for networking.
