Join us for a Member Social at The Green Man pub after the Kenilworth Books event: Mike Gayle in conversation with his Editor, Nick Sayers.
To celebrate the release of his latest book, Half a World Away, Kenilworth Books are delighted to be hosting both bestselling author, Mike Gayle and the editor with whom he has worked for over 20 years and through 15 novels.
Mike Gayle was born and raised in Birmingham. He became a full-time novelist in 1997 following the huge success of his novel My Legendary Girlfriend. Fourteen books later, his most recent novel, The Man I think I Know, was bought by over 100,000 readers electronically and has also sold over 30,000 copies in paperback after its publication in June 2018. Half a World Away is out this June and reinforces his reputation as a great observer of human nature, and a wonderful teller of tales!
Nick Sayers grew up in Coventry and Kenilworth, spent a short time teaching and then found his way into publishing. He has since worked with Phillipa Gregory, Tony Parsons, Bernard Cornwell, Stephen King and David Nicholls - among many others. He is one of the most experienced and respected editors in the British Book Industry and Kenilworth Books is extremely pleased to be welcoming him back to the town!
This is a great opportunity to hear from both an accomplished author and a hugely experienced editor. The discussion will be chaired by bookseller, Tamsin Rosewell.
Booking is through the Ticket Source website and tickets are £5 for the Mike Gayle talk. The Member Social is free, but please email Anna Ganley is you're planning to come along from 8pm so that we have an idea of numbers.
