I'm a short fiction writer, poet, journalist, columnist, editor and literary translator from German into English.

My debut poetry collection Serious Justice is published by Test Centre (2016).

I was Runner-Up Finalist for Brighton Festival's Peacock Poetry Prize, judged by Bernadine Evaristo, in 2011 and shortlisted for Eyewear Publishing Melita Hume Poetry Prize in 2015.

My short fiction and poetry have appeared in/on: Test Centre magazine, The Quietus, Structo, BBC 6, No.Zine, The Ofi Press (Mexico), TEAM, Selected Poems, hoctok (Brooklyn, NY) and Shooting Star Press. It's also appeared on record releases from Faux Discx and Upset the Rhythm.

I am columnist for literature in translation and literary translation for The Quietus.

I have written essays and articles on gender equality, translation, German literature, modern art and music for: Modern Poetry in Translation, In Other Words (British Centre for Literary Translation), New Books in German, Goethe-Institut London, Langdon Olgar, Wrecking Shop London.

I am founder and editor of annual Anglo-German arts journal Verfreundungseffekt (2012 - present) and acting editor of New Books in German magazine (2013 - 2014, 2015-2016). I have acted as a reader and editorial consultant of English and German-language literature for: English PEN, Granta/Portobello, Fitzcarraldo Editions, New Books in German and The White Review.

I translated my first book, Made On Earth by Wolfgang Korn, for Bloomsbury in 2012 and recently translated Nicotine by Gregor Hens for Fitzcarraldo Editions (2015)

b. 1986, Shoreham-By-Sea, West Sussex to an English mother and Maltese father. I moved to Munich when I was eighteen and lived there for a year, before coming back to the UK to study Media and Modern Literature with creative writing at Goldsmiths College. I graduated with a First in 2009, and in 2012 I completed a Masters in German Language, Culture and History with Merit at UCL.  I live and work in London.
