I write books for children. My books are inspired by children (not always my own). My writing is powered by chocolate (again, not always my own).
I used to make dramas for CBBC (The Story of Tracy Beaker, Kerching, Jackanory). Now I'm writing books for children. My latest book DO YOU SPEAK CHOCOLATE? is out in August 2017. It's about two girls who are determined to become friends - even though they don't speak the same language.
I write the NIXIE THE BAD BAD FAIRY books (OUP). Nixie's a mischievous fairy who's better with a spanner than a magic wand. I also write the HARVEY DREW series (Hot Key Books). Comedy sci-fi books about a boy who accidentally becomes captain of a garbage space ship. And I wrote WILFRED THE (UN)WISE (Piccadilly Press) about a medieaval wizard's apprentice who unintentionally catapults himself into the modern world.
I live in Oxfordshire and I'm Patron of Reading at a local primary school.
