Crossing the Tees book festival invites writers to enter the festival's first ever short story competition.
Word length: 3000 max.
Prizes: 1st - £100; 2nd - £75; 3rd - £50. Plus publication in the festival anthology for all winners/shortlisted pieces.
Theme: "Crossing the Tees" - stories should be inspired by the Tees Valley area but writers do not have to reside on Teesside to enter.
Closing date: 30th September 2017.
Free to enter and open to ages 16+.

Festival writer-in-residence and author, Tracey Iceton, is running a series of workshops and mentoring days offering writers the chance to develop their stories into award-winning pieces. You do not have to attend the workshops/mentoring to enter the competition.
