This is a private visit specially organised for The Society of Authors, which includes a presentation about the historical records NRS has to offer and how to find and access them, including a focus on ScotlandsPeople, NRS's family history website. We will also have access to the Historical Search Room where we will discover how to search their catalogue.

All those attending will asked to make a contribution of £2 in cash at the time of the visit. 

The tour will take place after the building is closed, and there is also the opportunity to meet for dinner afterwards as a group.

There is disabled access, but please notify when booking if you require this.
 
Booking procedure
There are a limited number of spaces, and names have to be submitted in advance. Places will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please email soainscotland@gmail.com naming the event in the subject line as soon as possible to book, but no later than 25 May. Please indicate whether you would like to meet for supper afterwards, and if you have any particular dietary requirements
