The Poetry and Spoken Word Group presents another event in its Making a Living as a Poet series, this time in association with Ilkley Literature Festival.
Char March and Rommi Smith, two exciting and successful Yorkshire-based writers, talk to PSWG committee member Helen Shay about the ways they have found to make money in poetry.
Char March is a poet, playwright and performer, who has held numerous writing residencies, and works widely as a creative writing coach.
Rommi Smith receives regular commissions from the BBC and has been writer-in-residence at the Houses of Parliament. She is a poet and playwright, and is currently researching for a PhD.
Helen Shay is a poet, event organiser and practicing solicitor. She teaches creative writing, and has an MA in Creative Writing herself.
