BRINGING UP BING with Ted Dewan, Chaired by Julie Middleton (Purple Frog Media)

Ted Dewan will present the story behind his Bing series of picture books (David Fickling Books) and the adaptation for the BBC hit animated series. The presentation covers the creation of the Bing books as well as some highlights and lowlights along the ten-year road to making it to screen. Most importantly, he will speak of what he wishes he knew when he started off.

Ted Dewan, a former CWIG chair, has written and illustrated over 30 books for children, including the Greenaway Honourable Mention Crispin the Pig series, as well as illustrated non-fiction books. He formerly illustrated for most British newspapers, and is currently in the early stages of developing a new animated television series.
